The MegaTorr PS7 Series
Getter / Adsorber Hydrogen Gas purifiers utilize a combination of heated getter
and ambient catalytic-adsorption processes to provide ultra-high purity (UHP)
gas. Outlet impurity levels for O2, CO, CO2, H2O, CH4, and N2 are reduced to low
parts per billion (ppb) levels.
An ambient temperature
adsorber/catalyst vessel removes O2, CO, CO2 and H2O while the downstream getter
vessel, operated at elevated temperature, eliminates N2 and CH4. The two
adsorber/catalyst vessels alternate between purify and regeneration mode
providing continuous purification. Adsorber/catalyst regeneration is
accomplished by backflushing with purified hydrogen at elevated temperatures.
Adsorber/catalyst vessels are cycled every 48 hours while the getter column is
heated continuously.
